MyBEcome A TRANSFORMATIONAL POSITIVE LEADER PEOPLE WANT TO FOLLOW!
- AND TRANSFORM YOUR WORKPLACE

Welcome- I'm grateful you're here.
My name is Merethe, and my story is one of dreams, transformation and deep dedication to personal and organizational growth.

As a young girl in Ålesund, Norway I dreamed of seeing the world, and I followed that dream to international modeling in Milano, New York, Munich and Hamburg. Those years taught me resilience, courage and the importance of staying true to who you are.

Later, I felt called to a different journey- one of learning, teaching and helping others become their best selves.

For the past 25 years I have been working as an associate professor, personnel manager, educational psychologist, entrepreneur, leadership consultant and leader.  I am also an international author and keynote speaker working with positive psychology and leadership. My book is curriculum in leadership educations at several Universities.

My work centers on one belief:
when people feel seen, valued and empowered, they become unstoppable.
My mission is to help people and organizations to rise higher, and inspire a life of courage, authenticity and thriving from the inside out.

This website is a space for growth, inspiration and positive change. I'm honored to share this journey with you.

I heard Dr. Drønnen's keynote presentation about positive psychology and its use for people and organizations and the influence on people's health at the International Conference in Positive Psychology in Toronto, Canade in 2017.
I appreciated her presentation very much. It is so important for leaders to know the psychological processes in the employees and how they are motivated and what makes them thrive at the workplace.

This book gives the readers an insightful and very important description of positive psychology at the workplace and shows the readers ways on how to enhance performance at an organizational perspective.

Finally the book with practical implementations on how to use positive psychology on challenges at the workplace has arrived. Countless books have been written about leadership, cooperation and motivation, but firstly now there is a book that systematically and objectively uses methods and techniques from the psychological field of positive psychology in leadership. The book is a real showdown with the old-fashioned and authoritarian mindset that is the leadership legacy from older leadership theories. The book is filled with examples that gives inspiration and use for both leaders, employees and union leaders.

"PowerUP, a book bought by chance, and read to pass the time on a train ride, was never put on the bookshelf at home. This is because I always have it on hand. The book bears its title rightly, it gives Power. Here I get simple tools for both everyday challenges and heavier work tasks. It is written simply, but gives the reader great benefit".

"The book is absolutely fantastic and a book everyone should read. Thank you very much!"

"In the course "Positive psychology for leaders" I received simple tools that have been useful in my leadership role in a restructuring process. Positive feedback and a focus on the strengths of employees are the areas I have the best experience with. In the company restructuring process we have been through. I have selectively been using elements from the course in my everyday work,  and this has helped me to cope with the process in a better way. Merethe explains research in a simple and understandable way. She links the research to many good examples of how larger companies have succeeded in introducing of positive psychology. Merethe also has good practical exercises in the course that make visible how positive psychology affects you as a person. I can absolutely recommend the course and the professional content- it is something that everyone can use in their everyday life and private life".

"The book PowerUP can be embraced everyone and is highly motivating for those who want to work on themselves. It has solid academic content, refers to research results and seemed well thought out, while it is easy to follow the thinking. MD shows that she has great professional insight and presents the material in an inspiring and easy-to-understand way. I have greatly enjoyed and benefited from the book and have used the content in several contexts, both privately and in a work context. It can really be recommended".

some testimonials of
dr. drønnen's presentations and books:

Merethe Drønnen is a knowledgeable and skilled communicator of positive psychology. I have participated in her Certificate of Executive Positive Psychology (CEPP) course and I have benefited greatly of what I learned from her in relation to practical use of positive psychology and the research in areas like learning, motivation, growth and strenght-based development in my role as career advisor and subject coordinator. I recommend everyone working with people in relation to work, change and development to set aside time for her course in positive psychology for leaders, HR, consultants and more".
